Excellent small and incredibly friendly campsite in quiet location far from everywhere…well the fine village of Fordinbridge is not too far away. Very clean and providing plenty of room that keeps your neighbours close but not too close. We’ll done and thank you Dot and family.

Great campsite! Family and dog friendly. The owners were amazing, so friendly and attentive. Facilities were kept clean over the busy 4 day holiday weekend. Fresh coffee and pastries on sale every morning, such a treat! Lots to explore in the area. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Dot and family were really welcoming and hospitable. It was great to be able to have a campfire. The facilities are clean and well looked after. Highly recommended for a weekend away.

We stayed there over the weekend with our 2 boys aged 4 & 2. They absolutely loved it there. It was such a safe campsite, they made friends & played in the field until dark. They loved the pigs & goat that are there too.
All pitches have plenty of space around them, so you haven’t got the feeling of being too close to anyone. Dots Campsite was a delight after being on many campsites where they cram as many tents & vans in as possible.
Dot & her family were very helpful & always around if you needed anything.
The showers & toilets were basic but spotless, so was the washing up area which included a freezer to refreeze ice packs. There was also an option to order afternoon teas or other snacks.
We stayed because we were looking for somewhere close to Paultons Park, it was only about half hour away so it was ideal. I’d definitely return in the future

We loved the whole weekend even though it rained for part of it. The campsite is one of the best we have stayed at. Such a welcoming and lovely place, great facilities, pitches are well spread out and the kids loved the pigs and goat.

We had a great time taking Felix our 5 year old for his first time camping. We might have to work on his sleep and keeping the noise down when everyone else is still sleeping though! He thoroughly enjoyed toasting marshmallows on the fire. I’m sure it will be an experience he won’t forget anytime soon. Your facilities were outstanding, we were so impressed with the cleanliness of the place and we really enjoyed being a bit further away from the main groups.

Just returned from A fantastic weekend at Dots camping.
An absolutely beautiful site in a wonderful location. Dot and family work very hard to ensure you have a great time. Covid safety measures are great and Dot is regularly found cleaning everything down to the hand sanitiser points.
The showers are some of the cleanest camping showers I have ever come across and lovely and warm. Highly recommend this site and will certainly being trying to get space here to return. Amanda McDowell – June 2021
Best Campsite ever!
Dot’s site was in an abolutely beautiful location very close to 2 local pub restaurants which were also lovely. The campsite was extremely well maintained, with clear markings and very tidy. Social distancing measures we excellent with plenty of sanitizer and other things in place that made it seem very safe. There were brilliant shower and toilet facilities so clean they looked as nice as at home. The communal washing up area was also very cute with a fridge freezer which normally would be available for use but due to covid only freezer packs were allowed. It is also only a 15 minute drive to Go Ape, and even closer to local shops and brilliant areas of the new forest to walk and explore. On arrival a campfire was set up for us even as we arrived late at 7.30pm Dot came to greet us and during our stay was a lovely and friendly host. The site was very quiet and had a wonderful sleep. There is not one single thing I could give less than 5 stars to during our whole stay and I will never stay anywhere else in the new forest if Dot’s site has spaces. What a little gem
From the moment we arrived we knew that Dot’s Camping was special. Greeted by the lovely Dot herself we could choose from one of the beautiful manicured pitches punctuated with wild grass, flowers to encourage the local wildlife. Field views with the inquisitive cows as our neighbours. Facilities were top notch, again a sense of being at one with nature. Touches such as the local pub menus and cream tea deliveries just added the attention to detail. Fire pits and wood delivered to your pitch, amazing food sampled at the local pub just a 10 minute walk away, star gazing galore, what more could you ask for. Great weekend at a fantastic campsite
We had a great late-season weekend camping at Dots. As many have said, the site is spotlessly clean and the facilities are excellent – the gas powered showers were nice and hot. My kids had a lovely holiday, there is a nice open space in the centre of the site and they could play with the new friends they made in easy view of adults. Absolutely lovely
We had a lovely weekend at Dots and hope to return. Our children had the best fun and made some lovely friends. Campsite is peaceful, spotlessly clean, everything you need is on hand. Dot was always visible if you needed anything and was a great host. Loved the on-site pigs and goat / beautiful surroundings and very tranquil – we were sad to go home! We stayed at Dots camping for two nights, the pitches were very spacious and we felt like we had our own little area to set up in. The facilities were great, a washing up area (with freezer and sink) and the showers were nice and hot! A stunning little site
Booked to stay for 2 nights over the weekend but ended up arranging to stay an extra 2 nights as it was just perfect! Facilities are spotless and regularly cleaned/sanitised. Showers with plentiful hot water and very spacious pitches. Lots of beautiful walks incorporating woodland, fields and rivers (with great swimming for humans and canines alike!) A Hidden Gem
A wonderful little campsite, where nothing was was left to chance, great for families and couples. lots of space between each plot, everything you need is here and is spotlessly clean. Added bonus was being able to have a campfire in the evening, especially as the nights where getting chillier. If you dont have your own you can hire them and buy wood from Dot. We had our dog with us who was made very welcome. We enjoyed lots of lovely walks in the beautiful surronding countryside, finished off with a ice cold beer in one of the two pubs that are both in walking distance from the site. I think what makes this places extra special is the owner Dot, who was always on hand and nothing was ever to much trouble for her, and she clearly loved seeing everybody happy and having a good time We definitely will returning in the futureSep 14, 2020 by Shelly Pender
We keep coming back!
This was our 4th visit to Dots in 3 years which says a lot! We were a bit apprehensive after the events since March but we need not have worried. The facilities were spotless, thank you for your efforts to keep them that way. Lots of room in between pitches & plenty of space for a communal area for our 4 families. A big positive of this site is being allowed a camp fire, a lot of other places ban them nowadays. We have young children, the site is peaceful & safe for them to run around. A glorious antidote to a funny old year
Dot’s Camping was a fabulous place to spend August Bank Hol with a group of friends. True to her word, Dot kept the facililties spotless – popping in at the crack of dawn to spruce up the loos before the campers woke! The play area is perfect for a rounders game and all the children on the site joined in as the sun set on Sunday evening. Beautiful site & family friendly
We just got back from a weekend at Dot’s, and our first family camping trip. Any initial worries I had about camping with a toddler vanished as soon as we arrived. The pitches were nicely spaced out, the facilities close-by and super clean, and the whole site really pretty and well maintained. We camped with a couple of other families with kids the same age, and the layout of the site meant they could all run around and enjoy the freedom while we could easily keep our eyes on them. The little ones especially loved having the pigs and goats as our next door neighbours, and the adults loved the warm powerful showers and fire pit facilities 😉 Overall, would highly recommend and we will be returning next year for sure.Aug 25, 2020 by Kirsten

Dot’s Camping is where I will recommend everyone to go camping in the New Forest. Easy local walks with fab views and nearby pub grub can only come second place to hiring one of Dot’s fire pits. A magical campsite oozing with charm & character
From the moment we arrived at Dot’s we knew we had found a special campsite. Dot’s is a tranquil haven, blessed with beautiful surroundings. The campsite is very well organised and very spread out. The vibe is chilled where family and friends can feel relaxed and enjoy the wealth of beauty around them. Dot and her husband were super friendly and helpful through out our stay.
